Manappuram General Finance and Leasing Ltd Centralizes IT and Cuts Loan Processing Times

Manappuram General Finance and Leasing Ltd (MAGFIL) wanted to migrate from a distributed information environment to a centralized architecture to enhance management of a fast-growing branch network and provide a scalable platform to support planned growth in size and new commercial and retail products. The challenge was to reduce loan evaluation and approval times and tailor services more specifically to individual customer segments. MAGFIL engaged Oracle Global SI Partner Wipro Technologies to implement a centralized information architecture over June - July 2007 based on an upgrade from Oracle9i to Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition with Real Application Clusters (RAC).
