Masking the Data on Cloud
Source: IPA Journals
Cloud computing is a new way of delivering computing resources, not a new technology. Computing services ranging from software processing to storing data, instantly, commitment-free and on-demand. The massive concentrations of resources and data present a more attractive target to attackers; hence the cloud's economies of scale and flexibility are both a friend and a foe from a security point of view. There are three general categories of services offered in cloud computing. They are Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The risk and benefit associated with each model differ.
