The last decade of 20th century has seen a rapid increase in the use of the software products in a variety of application areas and their correct operation is often critical for business success and human safety. This trend is expected to continue in light of the progress and utilization of the measurement evaluation of software product quality, particularly from the international standardization perspective. In the area of software engineering, the concept of software measurement (or what is commonly called software 'Metrics') is not new.
