Meeting ODBC Integration Requirements for Alterian PLC

To provide seamless functioning between their CBAT engine and partner applications, Alterian wanted to place an Open Data Access Connectivity (ODBC) interface on the CBAT engine. The primary aim behind this shift was to satisfy their customer base by developing a stable and sturdy connectivity solution. What Alterian required of this solution was an ability that would allow the company to connect their CBAT engine to a range of partner applications - existing and potential. The solution was also expected to provide the company with a high level of customization that would enable integration of the numerous applications. To meet these requirements, Alterian employed the SimbaEngine SDK to create an ODBC Driver that was useable on their CBAT engine. Towards this end, Simba provided its services to Alterian through the entire process of development, right from coding to testing. With this Simba implementation, Alterian was able to make use of the SimbaEngine SDK technology. With this solution, Alterian had access to Simba's expertise in data connectivity. The process was supported by an efficient team to ensure that the CBAT engine could be improved to an extent where it is able to meet all possible business objectives. This case study discusses the benefits that resulted from the SimbaEngine SDK implementation. It provided Alterian with a customized ODBC connectivity solution using SimbaEngine SDK and provided a more wholesome business intelligence solution.
