Michigan hospital improves patient care with healthy infrastructure powered by HP and VMware

Effective medical care requires accurate and timely information, which is increasingly going online. At Metro Health, doctors and nurses use an electronic medical record (EMR) application from Epic Systems to look at a patient's medical history, enter examination notes and diagnoses, write prescriptions, order procedures, and view test results. Radiology images are managed by two picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) from Philips. These, and other vital medical and business tools at Metro Health, are powered by HP hardware and software.
