Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Reduces Stock Distribution Time by 80%
Source: Oracle
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wanted to achieve 24-hour-a-day stock level visibility at the ministry's warehouse, which stores stationery, furniture, and electronics and improve stock control and rapid ordering of new stock. The challenge was to ensure optimum use of the ministry's fixed government budget and deploy a financial management system that manages at least 10 currencies supporting the ministry's international mission. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs consolidated data stores from six departments, including finance, planning, stock information, and HR into one database to enable greater visibility and more accurate data and reduced the time required to distribute stock by 80%, using Oracle Warehouse Management to achieve insight into stock availability and location of items.
