Mixed TUSC and Band AMC Permutation Zone in OFDMA Systems With Limited Feedback
Source: CTTC
In this paper a new permutation zone which combines adjacent and distributed subcarrier permutation is proposed for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) systems. For such purpose two types of burst are defined: localized and distributed. A new resource allocation and scheduling algorithm that exploits such structure is then proposed. Furthermore, the effects of limited feedback are also investigated where only the n-best sub-channel quality metrics are feedback. As shown in the simulation results, a tradeoff between spectral efficiency, delay and load signaling requirements is obtained which can be adjusted by modifying the number of sub-channels signaled in the uplink.
