Modified Minimum Maximum Battery Cost Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
Source: International forum of researchers Students and Academician
Nodes in mobile ad hoc networks are constrained by limited battery power for their operation. In the existing energy efficient routing protocols, such as Minimum Battery Cost Routing (MBCR) and Minimum Maximum Battery Cost Routing (MMBCR), the total transmission powers of nodes in a given route is considered and a route with maximum transmission power is selected without considering individual node transmission power. This results in link failure if a node in that route has less battery energy leading to less network lifetime.
