MSDN Webcast: Creating a Custom SiteMap Provider (Level 200)
Source: Microsoft
The new TreeView, Menu, and SiteMapPath controls in Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 provide your Web site with user friendly navigation and require little work to implement. These controls work with a site map provider to derive the tree, menu, or site layout of pages from a data source. As shipped, ASP.NET 2.0 provides only one site map provider that reads data from the XML files of a particular schema. This webcast examines how to create a custom site map provider that will allow site map information to be read from a database and yet still be utilized by exactly the same ASP.NET 2.0 navigation controls.
