Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG) is the new Microsoft cryptography infrastructure built into the Windows Vista operating system and Windows Server code name "Longhorn." Designed with extensibility and ease of use in mind, CNG is fully compliant with the National Security Administration's Suite B protocols recommendation and uses the new elliptical curve cryptography (ECC) algorithms.
