MSDN Webcast: Data Binding Using C# (Part 3 of 4) (Level 200)

This webcast explains about the declarative data binding model of ASP.NET 2.0 and the fundamentals of binding data to controls using the data source controls. While data can be bound to any control, there are several controls designed specifically to simplify data presentation including GridView, Repeater, and DataList. The webcast shows how to implement sorting, filtering, paging, and other common techniques for data presentation on the Web and also discusses the ways to optimize the data access including use of stored procedures, caching, and streaming versus DataSet-based retrieval.
