Multi-User SISO Precoding Based on Generalized Multi-Unitary Decomposition for Single-Carrier Transmission in Frequency Selective Channel

MIMO technology has been widely researched in recent years due to its advantages of increasing capacity and diversity gain. With the availability of Channel State Information (CSI) at the transmitter, the multi-antenna techniques can be used to serve multiple users simultaneously, this is because multiple antennas at the transmitter provide additional degrees of freedom in the spatial domain. It has been shown that the throughput can be increased linearly with minimum number of transmit antennas and number of users. Since then, many pre-equalization or precoding techniques have been investigated to enable multi-user MIMO broadcast channel.
