Mydin Deploys Dell Virtual Solution on PowerEdge Blade Servers and Reduces Cooling Costs by 30%

One of the largest homegrown retailers in Malaysia, Mydin Mohammed Holdings Bhd is an established retail giant operating wholesale and retail marts, hypermarkets, mini markets, 24-hour convenience stores, and an emporium franchise across 48 outlets in the country. Mydin were looking to replace their existing solution with blade servers optimized for Citrix XenServer virtual server software. Mydin deployed AMD Opteron processor-based Dell PowerEdge blade servers with enhanced processing capability and memory capacity to power its virtual servers across 1,000 users.
