Based in Melbourne, the National Australia Bank (NAB) has more than 25,000 employees working in 800 branches, 180 business banking centers, 110 regional agribusiness locations, and three major contact centers. NAB needed a collaboration infrastructure to support a new self-directed, employee development initiative called The Academy that would provide social networking features, search, and personalization. NAB chose a collaboration solution from Microsoft to build a learning and development portal that employees use for course management, career planning, job search, and peer networking.
