Netcel Case Study: Qualifications and Curriculum Authority

The QCA is a public body, sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. Following a competitive tendering process, Netcel were commissioned to develop a new intranet for the QCA, known as QUDOS. The intranet needed to be fully scalable and the system needed to support up to 600 concurrent users. The system was to be accessible across three locations and also accessible remotely using a Blackberry or laptop with dial-up or broadband connectivity. The QCA is already using RedDot CMS in its organisation, so the intranet project was to also to be developed using RedDot. The intranet is a content heavy site that did not require integration with other third party databases, and RedDot was considered the most appropriate CMS.
