New Approach for Inter Networks - On - Chip Communication in Networks - In - Package
Source: Jaypee University of Information Technology
Networks-in-Package (NiP) is a solution for inter Networks-on-Chip (NoC) communication, where power dissipation, performance, and size of processing package are the major factors. NiP is a group of NoCs mounted on a single package. In this paper, the authors proposed a new method, which merges the two communications, local communication between the Intellectual Property (IP) cores in a NoC and global communication between NoCs in NiP. In addition to this, they proposed that the transfer of information in NoC and among NoCs can be represented using closed donor controlled based compartmental model, convertible into a stochastic model.
