openBench Labs: Condusiv's V-locity 4 Boosts VM Performance Over 50% Without Additional Hardware

There are inherent behaviors associated with Windows-based VMs that cause a tremendous amount of unnecessary I/O operations to be pushed down into the network and storage. In a virtualized environment, the problem is compounded as multiple VMs share the same storage, resulting in highly random I/O activity. This not only slows a single VM, but others on the same host or using the same storage.

openBench Labs provides a technical narrative on the nature of the I/O problem and how V-locity 4 I/O optimization technologies solve the problem. openBench tested V-locity 4 in its independent lab--seeking to validate whether the software increases application performance on VMs by 50% or more by optimizing I/O at the source.
