OpenSky Data-Center Network Design Improves Application Performance for Healthcare Software Provider

The client is an industry-leading provider of enterprise Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) solutions. The client needed to quickly expand and improve its capabilities to provision applications to customers. The company also wanted to deploy the latest technologies to ensure it could continue to meet future customer requirements. They chose OpenSky to solve these issues. OpenSky provided the technical resources to deploy the network infrastructure components, which consisted of Nexus 7000 switches, Nexus 5020 switches and Nexus 2148 T Fabric extenders. Additional network infrastructure was deployed to support data center management capabilities and application load balancing. This resulted in reduction of overall project costs by $500K, designed a new data center network with advanced Cisco technologies, and increased data center capacity.
