It has never been more important for the nation to strengthen its communications capabilities and improve the level of preparedness to protect the communities. Achieving interoperability or more specifically, interoperable communications is something that has burdened government services for decades. Linking users on disparate radio systems is a challenge faced daily by public safety and defense agencies at the local, regional, state and federal levels.
