This paper will discuss the necessary steps to prepare for and successfully install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 32-bit and Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition with Oracle Real Application Clusters 32-bit on IBM BladeCenter servers and IBM System Storage disks. The operating system environment described is the 2.6 kernel-based Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (RHEL5). The purpose of this paper is to assist those who are looking to implement Oracle's Real Application Clusters (RAC) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (RHEL5) running on IBM BladeCenter servers and IBM System Storage products.
