Oracle Solaris on the Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud is the world's first and only integrated cloud machine—hardware and software engineered together to provide a "cloud in a box." It is designed to enable enterprises to bring together up to thousands of disparate, mission-critical workloads with maximum reliability, availability and security. Oracle Solaris, one of two operating system options for the Exalogic, is a key building block for this system. This paper provides a high level overview of the Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and then describes the value that Oracle Solaris brings to the Oracle Exalogic offering.
