Origin Energy Enhances and Streamlines Financial Reporting

Origin Energy is Australasia's leading integrated energy company focused on gas and oil exploration and production, power generation, renewables, and energy retailing. Based in Sydney, the company is listed in the ASX top 20 and services more than three million electricity, natural gas and LPG customers across Australia and the Pacific. Until late 2007, Origin was using separate Hyperion systems for management and statutory reporting, causing some duplication issues for the business. To resolve these issues, Origin decided to consolidate the two systems into a single Hyperion Financial Management - System 9 from Oracle.
