Outdoor-Indoor Propagation Measurements and Link Performance in the VHF/UHF Bands

Measurements for building penetration are performed in the VHF/ UHF bands using low antenna height (< 3 meters). Data analysis results such as transmission loss and rms delay spreads are reported for the measured channels. Link performance on the measured channels is predicted for a scenario in which emergency vehicles are parked outside a building and communicate with public safety personnel located inside the building. Outdoor-Indoor propagation measurements have been conducted in recent years at high and low antenna heights in the 2, 4.9 and 5 GHz bands.
