Overlay Transport Virtualization: An Introduction

Overlay transport virtualization (OTV) can address a lot of challenges presented in today's data center as far as moving components of the data center from one side to the other and making those sites layer 2 adjacent. It enables two data centers that are geographically dispersed to become layer 2 adjacent by utilizing a "layer 2 over layer 3" concept.
