This paper explains the architecture of PEMOCO which is a middleware infrastructure developed on Java enabled smart phones for the emerging field of Mobile Commerce. Authors developed a micro HTTP server be used as a service gateway for buying, selling and auctioning tickets. Authors also developed a web publishing agent on the phone to provides an easy way to create tickets and contents on the phone web server. Authors present the architecture and implementation of PEMOCO. Authors present a case study that demonstrates PEMOCO and the importance of location awareness and location naming schemes in Mobile Commerce.
