Performance Analysis of Major Protocols in Ad Hoc Networks
Routing in Ad hoc network plays an important and complex role due to the dynamic nature of nodes. AODV (Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector), DSR (Dynamic Source Routing), DSDV (Destination Sequenced Distance Vector) are among the most discussed and used protocols. In this paper, the performance analysis of the above mentioned protocols in terms of throughput is presented. To evaluate the performance an NS2 simulator is constructed in which the simulation results show that the DSR outperforms AODV and DSDV.
