Podcasting in Education

Podcast Alley, a podcast distribution website, distributes 1,533 podcasts that include education, information for educational institutions, or podcasts about educating. The education podcast network is an effort to consolidate the wide range of podcast programming that may be helpful to teachers looking for content to teach with and about, and to explore issues of teaching and learning in the 21st century. Podcasts allow educators to publish all or any part of a course, from lectures to handouts. Educational videos, Flash animations, and PowerPoint presentations are just some of the possibilities. Most of the podcasts available today are audio, but many more podcasts may be in video format in the future since all iPod models are now video-capable.
