Praxair Venezuela S.C.A. Standardizes Financial Procedures With an Integrated IT Infrastructure

Praxair Venezuela S.C.A. wanted to integrate all systems in a flexible, scalable infrastructure to unify its financial information in South America and centralize information in an easy-to-access database for solid, consistent, secure access. The challenge was to unify financial and operating procedures among Venezuela, Colombia, and Peru to achieve operating efficiency and reduce the complexity of its technological infrastructure to predict and control IT maintenance costs. Praxair Venezuela created a unified applications infrastructure with Oracle E-Business Suite, in a platform that permitted synergy among branches and warehouses in Venezuela and other South American countries as well as centralized information with Oracle Database, allowing real-time communication among remote branches.
