Productivity Improvement and Measurement Mechanism in Maintenance Projects
Source: Sonata Software
Maintenance of Projects involves the management of highly dynamic tasks as the list of bugs to be tracked and eliminated keeps changing on the basis of the requirements of its end-users. Hence, the measurement process for Maintenance Projects has to be different from that for project-based assignments, which have definitive estimates, tasks and milestones to be achieved. This paper describes the measurement process, capable of predicting costs and schedules, used for Maintenance Projects. It also gives an overview of the measurement of Comparative Productivity, which in turn helps in the Cost-Benefit Analysis and ROI calculations of an outsourced operation.
