Project Management Tool Analysis and Recommendations White Paper

The Principal Center for Workgroup Hardware and Software (PCHWS) has been involved in an extensive study of project management tools in use and available in industry. Under the FY2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NASA Headquarters and the NASA Glenn Research Center, the PCWHS is tasked with studying and evaluating project management tools. The intent of the Project Management Tools Initiative is to study and evaluate project management solutions and produce relevant documents, which will serve as the source of information to the Agency to assist in the selection and use of project management tools. The focus of this paper is to provide an overview of the Project Management Tools Initiative.
