Server virtualization can offer a number of compelling benefits in enterprise data centers, including increased resource utilization, reduced hardware costs, and operational efficiencies. Despite these advantages, however, virtualized environments still raise many of the same concerns as traditional environments - and, critically, the importance of data remains the same whether it resides on a Virtual Machine (VM) or a non-virtualized server.
