Rahn & Bodmer Ensures High Availability and Disaster Preparedness With Dynamic Data Infrastructure

Rahn & Bodmer Banquiers, Zurich's first private bank, is characterized by its complete independence. For several generations, the company has been under the sole ownership of the Zurich families of Rahn, Bodmer, and Bidermann, from which the five partners come. It needed to ensure high availability and disaster management for critical business applications and to prevent cessation of all commercial transactions and trading on the exchange due to extended failure of the central Avaloq banking application. Rahn & Bodmer Banquiers developed two-layer, high-availability and disaster management solution based on Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and its Oracle Active Data Guard feature for approximately 200 employees and e-banking customers.
