Reading Borough Council Streamlines Delivery of Multi Year Public Spending Plans

Reading Borough Council wanted to deliver three- and five-year budget forecasts in line with government requirements and prepare timely, accurate multiyear spending plans within a highly devolved, interactive local government environment. The challenge was to avoid need to divert financial teams from day-to-day tasks. Reading Borough Council implemented Oracle Hyperion Planning in three months, with users confident after a single 30-minute training session as well as used Hyperion Planning to rationalize spreadsheet-based forecasting environment into a single, collaborative, council-wide planning system with online access for 13 users.
