Traditional privacy techniques for wireless communications are facing great challenges, due to the open radio propagation environment and limited options of transmission techniques. A new bilateral pilot aided protocol is presented, with single-tone based burst transmission over slow time varying flat fading wireless channels, and is investigated to enhance the security of Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) system. In this paper, a real-time and link privacy method with FPGA-based design is proposed, which is based on the characteristics of radio channel including randomness and privacy.
