Retailer Expands PeopleSoft Portal, Improves Web Access

Retailer wanted to increase productivity with optimized online experience for PeopleSoft users and increase capacity of existing corporate portal to accommodate all store employees (not just corporate offices). The challenge was to minimize disruptions to users for server and application delivery solution upgrades. Retailer deployed Cisco 11500 Series CSS solutions in redundant pairs for managing application delivery and availability of the PeopleSoft application servers and additional Cisco 11500 CSS solutions to accelerate Web front-end and back-end servers for the company Web portal.
