Robustness Analysis for Sensor Networks Against a Node-Destruction Attack
In this paper, the authors present a model for analyzing the robustness of sensor networks against a node-destruction attack. They use a 3-dimensional periodic model for a sensor network and propose an index to analyze an impact of the attack. Then, they discuss attack impacts on the sensor network when some defining parameters are changed. From simulation results, they consider optimal parameters to maximize the robustness and the cover area of the sensor network. Sensor networks have been deployed for a wide variety of applications such as environment sensing.
