Foz do Brasil's servers crashed frequently and could not handle the processing workload for calculating and printing water bills. The bills are delivered by field teams, and frequently the company could not send out the teams because of processing delays. The company virtualized servers and applications on Dell PowerEdge servers with a Dell/EMC SAN using VMware Infrastructure 3.5 and Citrix XenApp software. With its data center upgrade it is able to provide IT services to its parent company, Foz do Brasil S.A.
