Source: William Jojo
They are the administrator of AIX or have some direct access to the operating systems as a privileged user and they have kept it fairly well up to date. Most problems can be avoided with keeping AIX at recent levels. Use the link provided to get the updates they need before they get started. It is recommended that they stick to TLs (Technology Levels) or SPs (Service Packs to a TL) and only install specific APARs when they need a specific fix. They are using the AIX binary packaging at the pWare site. They have planned they disk space, have a rough count of the number of users and machines that will be participating and have some basic system administration experience in AIX.
