Sanofi-aventis, one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, is out to transform and diversify its business. To speed the transformation, sanofi-aventis wanted its 100,000 employees around the world to have the most current operating system on their desks so that they could communicate, collaborate, innovate, and tap into the latest social networking tools. The company chose the Windows 7 Enterprise operating system as its desktop foundation for the future. By moving quickly to Windows 7, sanofi-aventis aims to get the greatest possible value from its operating system investment and create a stable desktop platform for long-term employee use.
