SAS Institute Case Study: Baycorp

Because successful debt management strongly relies on the sophisticated organization and analysis of data, and the computer systems used for this did not accompany Baycorp in the demerger, the company's new owners took the opportunity to review its data analysis and modeling needs. Baycorp needed to be able to determine the right price to pay for a portfolio of debt by being able to accurately forecast the full or partial recovery of debt and the time it might take to reach recovery. To master these needs Baycorp chose SAS Institute. Baycorp deployed SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Analytics for predictive and descriptive modelling, and SAS Enterprise Guide as the graphical user interface.
