Scenario Based e-Learning: An Alternative to Traditional e-Learning
Source: San Francisco State University
The author chose scenario based e-learning as an alternative to traditional e-learning as his topic because he believes that scenario based e-learning can lead to higher levels of learning and skill transference. When participating in traditional e-learning courses, learners are seeing images, reading texts, and/or listening to audio. It appears that in traditional e-learning, the learners are not actively participating; they are required to absorb the new information (like a sponge) and then recall the new information from memory.
