Secure Mobile Payments

This paper is the final report for the course project on secure mobile payments. It starts with an introduction and continues in chapter 2 with a specification of the payment domain, the involved actors and the advantages of m-commerce. The report also analyzes the security issues which have to be considered when building a mobile application. Chapter 3 presents two of the most important protocols for secure message exchange throughout the conventional GSM Network. In chapter 4 the EMV standard and its portability is discussed, while the next chapter discusses how to build a mobile application.
