Securing the Virtualised Environment

Virtualisation is changing the computing landscape. Virtualisation can not only lead to increased productivity at lower cost, it may also lead to increased security, a more efficient network infrastructure and a more mobile workforce. In this paper, the authors will look at how AppGate can help securing a virtual environment. Virtualisation means moving applications to a number of virtual application servers. This raises the need to properly protect the management system used for virtualisation and the virtual servers, their networks, operating systems and applications. To some extent, the work with securing virtual server environments is not very different from securing traditional servers.
