Selective Code Dissemination in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Networks are gaining popularity, thus one can see more and more deployments. One of the many applications of these networks is wildlife monitoring. Zoologists are interested in monitoring animals and their environment in their natural habitat, therefore they are attaching sensor devices to animals, which are then let go. This creates a (very sparse) network of moving entities, and it typically consists of small disconnected islands or clusters of nodes. These islands can communicate with the rest of the network if a member from the island moves out, and meets other members of the network. The scenario poses many challenges, two of them being energy and reprogramming.
