Semantic Technologies and the Future of Document Management

Imagine someone searching for a document that one know relates to a person or project but can't remember where put it, or have no idea how to find it. The first thought is to "Google" some key words, utilise "Boolean Search" and wade through as many pages as can tolerate. Alternatively, one can call or email someone thinking it might be able to point in the right direction and use social network to elicit their tacit knowledge and wisdom. There may be a new solution in sight, and one that, if it eventuates, could revolutionise the Web and bring the concept of true Knowledge Management a step closer to reality.
