Simplified IT With Virtualization

The British Horseracing Authority has experienced rapid business growth in the past three years. With a resulting increase in its IT infrastructure, the organisation found it needed to re-think its procurement and business continuity strategy. IT personnel spent too much time backing up data while the server estate had become expensive to manage. The authority worked with Dell to roll out a virtual server solution. This consisted of next-generation VMware technology running on Dell PowerEdge servers. The servers were also connected to a Dell | EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) for additional capacity.
