Simulation and Analysis Studies for a Modified Algorithm to Improve TCP in Long Delay Bandwidth Product Networks

It is well known that TCP has formed the backbone of the Internet stability and has been well tuned over years. Today, the situation has changed, that is because the inter-networking environment become more complex than ever, resulting in changes in TCP congestion control are produced and still in progress. In this paper, the authors use an analytic fluid approach in order to analyze the different features of slow start, traditional swift start, and modified swift start algorithms. They, then use simulations to confirm their analytic results which are promising enough.
