Simulation Based Performance Evaluation of MANET Routing Protocols
Source: IJCSMR
An ad-hoc mobile network is a collection of mobile nodes that are dynamically and arbitrarily located in such a manner that the interconnections between nodes are capable of changing on a continual basis. The routing protocol is used to discover routes between nodes. Routing is a challenging task in ad hoc network due to mobility of nodes that frequently changes network topology. Besides, all nodes need to communicate via wireless infrastructure. This paper presents a review of swarm Intelligent based routing protocols used for Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET). The paper provides an overview of three different protocols by presenting their characteristics and functionality. The comparison of their respective merits and drawbacks are also presented.
