Security is the key consideration when designing Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Due to the hardware resources limitation, lightweight cryptographic schemes are often deployed on current WSNs. The level of security is sacrificed for low power and computation usage. However, as security problem becomes more severe with the advancement of cryptanalysis and electronic technology, it must be further emphasized during the design. This paper proposes a novel single chip solution for security implementation on WSNs. Some latest techniques in FPGA are adopted to improve the execution efficiency of encryptions algorithms. This solution is intended to make WSNs as security as possible without raising the hardware cost.
