They also offer IT-managed data center services. Italian supermarket chain Conad approached Italdata launch a low-cost service in a very competitive mobile phone market. Italdata therefore used Cisco Data Center's networking solution to support this requirement. Conad was one of the European supermarket chains that ventured into offering low-cost mobile services. Their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) from Italdata supported around one million records. The benefits of this solution included ease in deploying new applications, simultaneous storage expansion, easy management of security and cost effective data center operations. The case study concludes by discussing how Italdata planned to use similar Cisco capabilities to support other customers, along with Conad's new demands, in the future.
